The Magewell Ultra Encode HDMI is a standalone hardware video encoder that accepts HDMI 1.4a / DVI-D signal input, supporting up to 4K 60fps (4:2:0) or 4K 30fps (4:4:4 / 4:2:2), with simultaneous 3.5mm LINE IN analog audio. Its built-in dual-stream encoding engine supports both H.264 and H.265 (HEVC) at up to 16Mbps, outputting a main stream and a sub stream concurrently. On the network side, it offers a triple-path connectivity model: RJ45 Gigabit Ethernet, 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac Wi-Fi, and USB-attached 4G/5G modem. It natively supports RTSP, RTMP/RTMPS, SRT, NDI HX2, HLS, MPEG-TS over UDP/RTP, and TVU ISSP streaming protocols, and can simultaneously push to platforms such as Twitch, YouTube, and Facebook. A Web UI browser interface and a third-party control API are provided, with support for up to 8 overlays per stream, making it suitable for remote live production, enterprise streaming, education recording, and lecture-hall deployments.
